Building off of what I talked about two posts ago, I just wanted to give a little update on the VR Sword Combat.
I mentioned last time that my system, when paired with something like FinalIK can be used on humanoid characters as well. This is absolutely true, but I found a better, simpler way of doing it. It's a simple script you apply to the hand bone and, after setting some parameters, the arm will behave like it should. Additionally, it still respects animations with no changes. I originally thought I'd have to use an Avatar Mask to mask off the arms that are to be moved with IK (not animations), but luckily I don't even have to do that! I am still working on it to make it the best it can be before release (and I still have to resolve some dependencies on VRTK 3.x) on the Asset Store. Thanks for reading! - Judah
