At the moment, I've pretty much finished all the basic mechanics for the game, meaning I can get to the story!
Originally, the way the player can get from island to island was via a steering wheel island selection system. It required you to turn the wheel to select an island, then, while holding the wheel, pull a lever. Long-story-short, this didn't go over well with some testers, and caused some issues with the realtime lighting.
Now I'm using a simple map system where the player can select posters from the map, and put them on a compass. Clean, simple, and intuitive. :D
